On January 1, 1972, the previously independent community Kurzell was incorporated into Meißenheim. Today the baroque-style building is the seat of the local administration.

According to documents from the Baden-Württemberg State Archives, Herrmann Müller, an architect from Lahr, was commissioned with the planning of the “town hall”. Plans from March 5th, 1901 can be viewed via the link below.

Nearby is the schoolhouse on Dorfbrunnenplatz, built in 1876, and the former rectory next to the Church of the Resurrection. Diagonally opposite the church of St. Laurentius with the memorial for the fallen of the two world wars on the church square.
