Fire hazard

Due to the unusually dry weather and the high temperatures of the last few weeks, the risk of fire in forests, meadows and fields has risen sharply.

Dry branches, brushwood and the partially arid ground vegetation are currently very easily flammable.

The population is asked not to light a fire in the forest or on meadows and fields. Barbecuing, open fire or smoking cigarettes etc. should absolutely not be done in the great outdoors or in the forest! Smoking is not permitted for forest visitors from March 1st to October 31st.

Often a carelessly discarded cigarette butt or a shard of glass is enough to start a forest fire. The damage can be very great for the valuable forest ecosystem and nature, but also for the forest owners.
